J&K floods: SC forms panel to evaluate ground situation

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Wednesday formed a 5-member committee headed by senior registrar of J&K high court to evaluate the ground situation in the state in the aftermath of the floods.

The apex court has directed the committee to file report within two weeks before it and also before J&K high court.

The J&K govt, meanwhile, assured the court that drinking water would be made available to all flood-affected people within three days.
