Man beats daughter to death in Madhya Pradesh’s Shahdol district

BHOPAL: A man beat his 13-year-old daughter to death in Shahdol district on Monday evening after being prodded by his neighbours who provoked him making allegations about her character.

After investigations police arrested accused on Tuesday. Incident took place at Hathidol village of the district. Police said accused Ramdhani Rathore, 40, returned home from work in the evening on September 23 when some neighbours met him and complained to him about his daughter.

They complained to him that his daughter Priyanka, 13, a student of class VII, roamed around, police said.

Ramdhani who was in an inebriated condition, started thrashing the girl after complaints from neighbours, added police.

He beat her up black and blue using sticks leading to her death on the spot, said police.
