SC refuses to stay Rajasthan panchayat polls

scNEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Thursday refused to stay the panchayat elections in Rajasthan.

“Prima facie you have good case, but you have to satisfy the HC first,” apex court told the petitioner who has challenged govt decision.

The top court also asked Rajasthan HC to decide expeditiously validity of state govt decision fixing educational qualification for people to contest elections.
