THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The vigilance and anti-corruption bureau (VACB) will interrogate finance minister KM Mani in connection with the bar bribery case that is being probed by the agency. The investigating arm of the agency, the special investigation unit-I, has conveyed the decision to the minister and has sought a convenient time for the procedure.

Even though a statement from the minister was recorded earlier during the quick verification procedure, the next interrogation would be a detailed one, said sources. “The earlier interrogation was conducted as part of the quick verification when the material and other evidences were not gathered. This will be a more detailed recording of the statement of the minister on the basis of all the evidences that have been gathered by the vigilance department,” sources said.
